Aight. So. My name is Becca and I'm a thriftaholic.
Sometime last week (I don't remember when) I went to the G'ville Community Ministry thrift store again and tried on this beaute:

Didn't get it though, cuz tops are $3 there. I since found out they're doing 50% off on ladies blouses the rest of this month, but I'm not sure if this would count as a blouse. I would personally call it a jacket, but it was on the rack with other blouses. You never know how they might define certain things at thrift stores, and some things defy definition.
Like this (from thrifting trip to same store yesterday):

Is it a sweater? A shirt? A pullover? I don't know. Whatev. I didn't buy it cuz well...I have a few tops that are kinda the same idea already.
Same goes for this shirt:

Although I really like the pastel rainbow colors. So if it didn't make me look all fat and frumpy, I mighta bought it.
This was on the 50 cent rack and looked cool on the hanger:

I love peachy-pinks and lace, but when I put it on the collar was all weird and felt funny and awkward.
But here are two sweaters I DID buy because I cannot resist gem sweaters apparently.

That is something I will probably wear all the time because cardigans are sorta my staple piece. Of course I probably have like 50 of them, but you gotta have one to match any outfit, don'tcha know!
Anyways...this pic doesn't do this one justice:

I should have done a close-up. Because the detailing is really nice and looks like an easter egg. I am drawn to anything seafoam-colored also. Did I mention?
Them I went to Salarmy and saw THESE AMAZING PANTZ:

Look at that waist detail!!!!!!

I was scanning the jeans racks for acid wash and when I pulled these babies out I was even more blown away by the waist. But alas, too big. They don't look terribly too big in these pics though. Maybe I should have bought them and gotten a belt or wear them with a sweater and tuck it in. HAHA!!!!
I dunno. At a store I went to between those 2 stores I actually came across a pair of authentic Doc Martens 2 sizes too big for me for $6.50. I almost bought them thinking "I'll get some inserts and wear really thick socks." But I dunno. Has anyone ever made a pair of shoes 2 sizes too big work for them?? It just seems not too often that you come across authentic Docs, but then again, I haven't been actively looking that long. But these were also pretty worn. Which can look kinda cool on these kinda shoes BUT the bottoms were even worn almost smooth---like there was no tread left hardly, so I wonder how practical that woulda been anyway.
I did, however, buy a pair of cuffed pixie boots at the first store that were a size too small. But I could still get my foot in and I've been reading about how to stretch them. They might actually be only a half size too small. Depends. But I've been looking for them so hard!!! I didn't take a pic, but they look kind like these but brown:

Also, hahahah lookit this bag at Salarmy:

I wish I actually needed more bags because I woulda got it.
I also found a bunch of suspenders at Hospice Attic and I'd been looking for suspenders for awhile, but now I can't remember what for, so I couldn't choose a color. They had some mustard yellow ones, and that's one of my fave colors, but wtf would I wear those with? I dunno.
But yeah. There are certain things that always grab my attention whilst thrifting:
mustard yellow
teal
seafoam
peach/nude/baby pink
lace
rhinestones/beading/sequins/shiny things
fringe
acid wash
animal print
native american-inspired anything
cats
florals
plaid
rainbowness
Hmmm...is that all?
Anyways...I still don't know what to be for Halloween!!!! I was thinking of being a
Midwest Diva, but I don't have any gold pants or gold shoes. Sigh.
